The
Senior Technical Architect position
requires the combination of skills that include platform, communications,
network, and application architect as well as the skills to deal with
and coordinate the activities of both technology product and services
vendors. This position has primary responsibility for the configuration,
selection, acquisition, installation, and integration of hardware, system
software, communications components, middleware, and development tools
to support both the future business processes and the systems development
environment. In addition the technical architect must communicate, provide
education about the methodology, lead the development of the design
process and work products and help resolve difficult questions and issues.
Skill requirements for this position include: Mandatory •Understands detailed knowledge of technical eBusiness architecture methodology •Define the technical architecture based upon business and application architectural needs •Communicate, maintain and align the overall technical architecture with the business strategy •Understands the process of product identification, evaluation and selection •Understands and can analyze business forces operating on the enterprise •Understands all aspects of development coordination and integration •Define technical infrastructure requirements •Assess current and plan future performance and capacity requirements •Understand and align enterprise with key technological directions •Understands infrastructure deployment Desirable •Understands the basics for managing the operations of a technical architecture •Understands the basics of facilities infrastructure •Has an understanding of basic business process improvement |
